I lead Carter Murray’s Financial and Professional Services practice covering the Middle East and Africa. Working with large local and multinational businesses including banks, insurance companies, law firms and consultancies as well as an increasing number of FinTech businesses that make up the Middle East’s growing Fintech scene. I partner with clients to source talent across their commercial and marketing departments taking in everything from traditional business development to cutting edge digital marketing and distribution. I previously ran the Financial and Professional services practices for EMR in London. Having relocated from the UK in 2015 to take up my current position I maintain a strong connection with a variety of international markets. Many of the searches on which I am engaged require the sourcing of talent from multiple geographies, confidential assignments are also a specialty. As well as working with clients on specific briefs my expertise in the field has allowed me to partner with them to discuss organisational structure, technological disruption, and compensation & benefits. Alongside my marketing degree I also worked in the field briefly and have been recruiting for marketing and commercial teams since 2010. My career has exclusively focused on the FS and PS space giving me a strong understanding of firms in these sectors and the pressures, challenges and opportunities unique to them. I also run Next Money, a community that brings together people interested in how innovation and technology are changing Financial Services across the world, in the Middle East. As an expert in the FinTech market, I have written extensively on the subject and lead the practice for Carter Murray worldwide.
