Business Development and Marketing Manager - Professional Services

The business development and marketing function has grown and become one of the most sophisticated in the professional services space over the last few years; finding a candidate who fits the business culturally and shares the vision and passion for business growth, innovation and excellence is essential.
Leadership - As you would expect from a firm of this size and scope you will have the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the most successful business development and marketing professionals in the professional services arena, as well as C-suite executive across the firm globally. There is huge emphasis on entrepreneurial, out-of-the-box thinking, particularly for the program you will be working on. In this role there is no typical week.
The business - Huge international firm with a presence in over 30 countries and a portfolio of ASX 200 clients across all major industries.
You - Bright, articulate, entrepreneurial professional, with a background working in the professional services space or the technology and innovation space in a role where you are partnering closely with senior stakeholders supporting them with their key client growth initiatives. Excellent academics, attention to detail and ability to think creatively and cope in a fast paced, ambiguous environment are essential. You will have a strong desire to truly immerse yourself in this industry and will have demonstrable experience building rapport and influencing senior stakeholders.
You will be managing projects for multiple stakeholders at any one time; some of the key responsibilities will include:
- Area focused impact: Advising on the development and driving the execution of Marketing and Business Development Plans for key industry sectors and practice areas. Undertaking and analysing client feedback, cross-selling and other business development campaigns.
- Client development and Account Management: Client relationship management methodology and tools, participating in the development and execution of account management plans for specific clients. Contributing to and occasionally project managing delivery of bids and tenders.
- Industry focus: Monitoring the industry sector environments to identify opportunities to acquire new clients via targeted pursuits or incept new legal products that address emerging industry issues and risks.
- Campaign management: Advising on the strategy for participating in and executing proposed content marketing campaigns originated with a view to optimising a mix of revenue growth and brand building objectives. Ensuring that all marketing and business development activities are connected and sequenced to create opportunities to engage clients appropriately.
This role could either be filled by someone at manager level, or there is the option for a more ambitious junior.
